AI AT WORK · STEP 3 OF 3 · ABOUT 5 MINUTES
Turn rough notes into a clear message.
Practice with this made-up example, then check whether the result says what you meant.
1. Try these rough notes
Open your AI chat, then copy or type this request. Need help getting started?
Turn these notes into a short email to my team: Thursday meeting moved to 2 pm. Same room. Bring one idea for improving our filing system.
2. Look at the answer
Did it keep Thursday, 2 pm, and the same room? Did it invent a room number or a reason for the change?
3. Ask for a change
Make it friendly and professional, under 60 words. Add a clear subject line. Keep only the facts from my notes.
4. Check before using it
Does it sound like something you would send? Check the details and edit anything that doesn’t fit. An AI draft is yours to review.
You’ve finished your first practice journey.
After you have checked the revised message against the notes and corrected anything that doesn’t fit, you’re done. You don’t need to send the practice email.
You have asked a question, checked the answer, added useful details, and reviewed the result. Those are steps you can use again.
Finish and return homeYou can stop here and come back whenever you want to practice again.
